6th December - OutCryFire

Metal Cursemas Day 6

OutCryFire

Genre: Thrash
Location: London/Reading

Metal’s underground scene is the breeding place for the bands that emerge to become our best loved ear-fodder. And every now and again it produces a secret gem of a band. A band that manage to slip under the wider radar, while steadily building a loyal fanbase of music lovers.

OutCryFire are one such band. They concentrate on doing what they enjoy most – playing seriously heavy Metal! With influences as diverse as Meshuggah and Pantera, a pounding tightness any live band would die for, a stage presence that's surely been stolen from the Metal gods, and a crazier frontman than SYL - OutCryFire serve up their brand of unpretentious groove-laden riffage, complete with thrash and hardcore sensibilities.

Ruination is, without a doubt, one of the best self released CDs you can get your hands on. And with a stage show notorious not just for uncompromisingly crushing Metal, but also for its humour and showmanship, OutCryFire aren’t going to be the underground's 'best kept secret' for much longer! Check them out, and we’re sure you too will be amazed they’ve not been snapped up by a label yet!

Reviews

Kerrang! Magazine.... "The A&R men have missed a trick here. OutCryFire possess watertight riffing, military precise drumming and tonsil bothering vocals all wrapped up in the righteous power of metal!"

Rock Sound Magazine.... "OutCryFire are a young band going places - and they're determined to redefine the Thrash approach in the process. They thrive on Pantera riffs, Lamb Of God attitude & Megadeth-style tight musicianship. The modern metal fan's modern British metal band"

Metal Hammer Magazine.... "Heavy Fucking Metal! A relentless barrage of monster metal: high speed, high intensity & highly likely to make you cry! Their live shows are 'energetic to say the least. Frontman Matt is a wide-eyed monster laughing & screeching into the faces of unsuspecting viewers. Check them out as soon as you can!"

What other bands say about OutCryFire
"This band has surprised me from their early days. They've come on leaps and bounds from what I remember. Definitely far beyond the usual metalcore chugging and shouty posing. Incredibly well done thrashy melodic riffery. Great for harking back to Pantera and Megadeth in their prime." John, Interlock
