4th December - Xerath

Metal Cursemas Day 4

....four layers of strings,
three bass guitars,
two vocal tracks
AND XERATH ALL OVER THE UK

Xerath

Genre: Chug Score
Location: Basingstoke

If 2007 will be remembered for one thing, it will be the year that saw Xerath born in a blinding flash of light, complete with its own orchestral backing music! Describing themselves as "CHUG-SCORE", there is no way you can not see the sheer brilliance of their music. If The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra were involved in a genetic experiment to gene splice them with a metal head, the resulting mutation would be Xerath!

Living in the same house and building a professional quality studio to work in, the band have brought together a unique set of influences and ideas into their headspace. Left alone to their own devices, they have created what is all at once epic, aggressive, twisted and alien to the ears - yet it all works! Off kilter drums and guitars set to a backdrop of a classical ensemble.

Xerath are currently working on their debut CD "Xerath 1" and are also working on taking this musical behemoth to live venues across the country.

As our Cursemas Advent rolls onward, we salute you Xerath! Long may you remain a brilliant and pioneering UK act!

What other bands say about Xerath:
"Extremely talented musicians, with a wicked classical twist. Epic! Can't wait to see these guys gigging." Dez, The Safety Fire
