THEE Arcane. A band utterly unconventional and uninspired by fellow activists, chose the path of Black Metal in 1999 under the moniker 'Shadow of Thorns.' Initially started as a two piece side experiment to SpectralMists the twosome quickly became a threesome and began hammering out various demo tracks in the vein of Cradle of Filth and Emperor. Shadow of Thorns continued recording in and out of studios until the eventual demise of the band in 2001.
From out of the ashes followed something far more sinister and entirely unparalleled; a band built around the concept of the afterlife and the antichrist and a concept which was based on pure experience rather than artistic assumption. Joined in groups celebrating the paranormal and spiritual healing, great influence has been gained and is indeed included within the band's compositions. A very unconventional band indeed, one might add, but maybe, in its non-conformist state, there lies originality.
THEE Arcane are guided through their journey by mastermind S.Arcane and are based in, around and under the haunted marshes of South East England. Currently in the studio, a release seems imminent though traditionally the band have always been very secretive about their movements. Isolated from the metal scene, S.Arcane remains in sole control and his whereabouts and intentions remain extremely hidden.
